'Pandemic' is an installation piece with a computer screen and a model of a molecular 3d printer. The project hypothesizes a contagious virus that can spread through the internet and among living animals. The virtual form of this virus hacks available 3d printers that can print at a molecular level. Then, the virus use hacked printers to print their material form to infect human beings. Infected human will have an urge to browse a specific website, which can spread the virtual form of the virus.
The computer screen in the installation displays the evolving of the virus. The model printer (with a normal inject printer inside), constantly prints out leaflets for viewers to take away. On the leaflets, a realtime screenshot of the computer screen, and a link of the project are printed.
